Cultivate Toledo provides hands-on education in urban agriculture, crop planning, food safety, business fundamentals, and farm operations. Whether you are a student, aspiring grower, or experienced gardener looking to scale up, we help build the skills needed for success.
Step 2
Focus on growing, not starting from scratch.
We develop urban farm sites with essential infrastructure already in place, including hoop houses, irrigation, growing beds, and site preparation. This reduces startup costs and barriers, allowing farmers to begin production faster.
Step 3
Produce high-quality food for local markets.
Farmers receive ongoing support with crop planning, production practices, compliance, and operational coaching. Our goal is to help participants build viable farm enterprises that generate income while contributing to Toledo's local food economy.
Step 4
Connect with customers and stable market opportunities.
Cultivate Toledo is building a cooperative food hub that helps growers access CSA customers, restaurants, retailers, food processors, and institutional buyers. By aggregating products and coordinating sales, we help farmers reach larger markets while reducing the cost and complexity of doing business.
